Let's get this new little blog started with our first weekly feature - WIP Wednesday
In other words, every week I plan to show you what I'm working on. I currently have two projects in the works, and I'd love to hear about your projects as well.
Temperature Blanket 2017
This is my first try at a temperature blanket, which is a blanket that is made with one row per day. The color of the stripe represents the temperature for that day. If you'd like to learn more about temperature blanket, and how to make your own, check out these resources:Yarnspirations | Lion Brand Yarns
I'm using the high temp for each day, based on the temperatures recorded at the local airport. Here are photos from the first two full weeks this year:

It's been fun to participate in the crochet-along project and see other temperature blankets on Instagram, but I have to say this is definitely an exercise in patience for me as I like to dive headfirst into a project. See more of my temperature blanket in the Chasing Blue Jays facebook album.
Waffle Stitch Ponytail Hat
I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to test this pattern for Luvabug Crochets at the same time that I had received a custom order to create a ponytail hat as a gift for friend's daughter.
So far, this hat is turning out beautifully in the variegated yarn. I can't wait to see the finished project and try it again in a solid color yarn.
